Patrick Kavanagh (Irish: Pádraig Caomhánaigh) (21 October 1904 – 30 November 1967) was an Irish poet and novelist. He is regarded as one of the foremost poets of the 20th Century, and his best known works include the novel Tarry Flynn and the poem On Raglan Road. Riddarholmen (Swedish: "The Knights' Islet") is a small islet in central Stockholm, Sweden. The island forms part of Gamla Stan, the old town, and houses a number of private palaces dating from the 17th century.
